Beulah Michigan, Water and Sewer Rates

ORDINANCE 2004-1
CHAPTER 2061-3 (b - a), 5 (c, c, c,)

The purpose of this ordinance is to amend Resolution 98-1, Chapter 2061.

This ordinance serves to eliminate the “ Debt Service Usage “ charge of $2.00 per 1,000 Gallons. The water usage per 1,000 Gallons will be increased from $2.50 per 1,000 Gallons to $3.00 per 1,000 Gallons.

The sewer usage will be increased from $3.00 per 1,000 Gallons to $3.50 per 1,000 Gallons.

This ordinance also changes the turn on, turn off for each from $15.00 each incident to $25.00 for each turn on, turn off incident.

This ordinance also changes the turn on, turn off charge for each from $50.00 to $100.00 for delinquent or non-payment of water-sewer service.

Section 3 (b-a): Water rates:

Quarterly water service charge $17.50

Water usage per 1,000 gallons 3.00

Multiple use (per each unit) 10.00

Section 4 (b-b): Sewer rates:

Quarterly sewer service charge $17.50

Debt sewer service charge 23.50

Sewer usage per 1,000 gallons 3.50

Sewer only (within Village) per quarter 30.00

Sewer only (outside Village) per quarter 60.00

Multiple use (within Village) per quarter 10.00

Includes apartments, business offices, cabins, etc.

Multiple use (outside Village) per quarter 20.00

Motel, hotel, Bed & Breakfast,

Rental rooms, etc. - each room per quarter 3.00

* New, additional charges
** All rates subject to change by amendment to the resolution by the Village Council.
** Debt retirement charges will be assessed for 20 years.
** Rates become effective April 12, 2007 (July billing)
** Each lot in the Benzonia Trailer Park is considered a single family dwelling (ready to serve).
** All metered users will be charged for gallon usage.
** New items:

$2,500.00 New Sewer Hook-up $2,500.00 New Water Hook-up

The following fees changed:

Turn on charge - Seasonal fee $25.00

Turn off charge - Seasonal fee 25.00

Delinquent shut off fee 100.00

Delinquent turn on fee 100.00
