Village offices have been upgraded this summer. Since the Darcy Library moved into their new building, the Village Council meetings have been held in the larger space vacated by the library. A doorway was added, new carpeting and a reorganization of the office space for the Clerk and Treasurer was just completed in August. A new exterior sign is up too.
The Village Trailer Park had several upgrades this summer. The bathhouse was re-roofed, the fish cleaning area remodeled and new doors were some of the upgrades.

Update on the Water and Sewer Project:
At a special Council meeting on 8/29, bids were reviewed for a sewer upgrade, replacing a water main and installing 2 new pumps. The majority of the work will be on North St. with new sewer line, increasing a water main from 4 to 8 inches and replacing the 2 pumps on Crystal Ave, across from the trailer park. Monies from a Rural Development loan and grant, approximately $700,000 will cover the costs. Several favorable bids were received and low bidder, SRW Contracting and Paving of Williamsburg, was awarded the contract. SRW will begin work in mid-October |
